This Value Talk will explore the greater mechanisms of policy, procurement, delivery and the practical realities of those working in and with social and alternate modes of housing. With increased housing insecurity, and a growing demand on the housing market, Queensland’s population is facing a growing crisis in housing those who are most vulnerable. As key contributors to housing supply outcomes, architects who understand housing policy and delivery processes and its challenges are better equipped to pull the necessary levers as designers, advocates, and decision‑makers, shaping more thoughtful design responses and more equitable housing outcomes. We look forward to insightful conversation from Eloise Atkinson, Fiona Caniglia and Karen Edwards who will share their perspectives and insights working across the public housing delivery process, followed by a panel discussion. This event is also in collaboration with Second Chance Programme to help launch their Annual Sleepout for Homelessness.
