Business School of Architecture Workshop | May

The Business School of Architecture in a new initiative from the Australian Institute of Architects designed to equip architectural leaders with the business knowledge needed to build thriving and economically sustainable practices. The curriculum has been developed by architects for architects, drawing on participants design thinking skills to reframe core business challenges, such as strategy, finance, and leadership, as creative, solvable problems. Next month we are launching our first two modules -Strategy and Finance at two in-person workshops. The Strategy module will be delivered on Tuesday 12 May 2026 from 9am to 3pm (including lunch) in the Melbourne CBD, with individual and group-based pre- and post-workshop activities (approx. 3 hours total) designed to foster both individual reflection and group-based planning (and provide feedback for the fine tuning of the modules).  The Finance module will be delivered on Wednesday 13 May 2026 from 9am to 12.30pm also in the Melbourne CBD, with individual and group-based pre- and post-workshop activities (approx. 2 hours total) designed to foster both individual reflection and group-based planning (and provide feedback for the fine tuning of the modules). Both modules are targeted at practices of all sizes including emerging leaders who want to better align purpose with performance, strengthen strategic clarity, and improve financial confidence. The total cost for both modules is $600 per participant. The two workshops together will provide 6 Formal CPD points. The nominated staff from your practice are required to undertake both modules so please ensure availability.
